Jenny Schmid is a Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist CPO (D) with professional experience in the O&P field since 1991. Her focus at the beginning was conservative clinical orthopaedic treatment, orthopaedic service in clinics and patient focused care in Orthotics as well as organization and implementation of Trade Shows both nationally and internationally.

 

  • Jan. 1995 – June 1996 she worked at Swiss Balance Inc. Prosthetic & Orthotic Specialists CA (U.S.A.). Since 1996 she spezialised in pediatric orthopedics with renowned companies and in cooperation with internationally active specialized clinics
  • Since 1998 she specializes in conservative treatment of scoliosis and spinal deformities. Since 2000: specialization in conservative scoliosis treatment and development of the RSC® treatment concept.
  • Management and treatment of scoliosis patients and patients with degenerative Illnesses of the Column with Trunk Orthotics of all kind.
  • Development of network channels for the Ortholutions Trunk Orthotic product line.
  • Organization and implementation of product seminars, Business Customer Support,. Acquisition of business clients and cooperation partners regarding the RSC® Scoliose brace as well as the complete trunk orthotic product line.
  • 1998: 4 month intensive education and training in Rigo Chêneau Bracing with Dr. Manuel Rigo at Instituto Elena Salvá Scoliosis Rehabilitation Center, Barcelona (Spain).
  • Cooperation with Dr. Manuel Rigo since 1999 as a medical consultant for the Rigo System Chêneau Brace (RSC®) from Ortholutions.
  • 2004: Founding member of SOSORT (Society on Scoliosis Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Treatment).

Trainings and seminars

  • Since 2003 every year organization and implementation of the Rigo Cheneau RSC® Brace Intensive Seminar as well as LIVE eWebinar, with Dr. Manuel Rigo and Ortholutions in Germany
  • 2009, 1 day Schroth-Therapy Seminar for PT’s, Mannheim, Germany
  • Implementation of Scoliosis Patients Meetings at international RSC® Brace Excellence Centers
  • Attendee at the all SOSORT Meetings since 2004
